Dr.
Robert E. Zee - Managing Director, Space Flight

Dr.
Zee is currently the managing director of the UTIAS Space
Flight Laboratory. His responsibilities include strategic
planning, finances and administration. In addition, he provides
project guidance and program direction to the UTIAS/SFL staff.
Dr. Zee also supervises graduate students with thesis topics
in nanosatellite missions and microspace technology development.

Freddy
Pranajaya - Manager, Advanced Systems |

|
Mr.
Pranajaya manages a number of programs at the UTIAS Space
Flight Laboratory including,
the Low Cost Launch service, the Radiation Test program, and
the Electric Propulsion program. He also shares the responsibility
of Systems Engineering on microsatellite projects at SFL and
assists in strategic planning. |

Cordell
Grant - Manager, CanX Program |
|
|
|
|
Cordell manages the CanX programs and is the lead mechanical engineer at SFL. He has been part of the lab since 2003 when he began his M.A.Sc. and was responsible for the design of the structural and deployable subsystems for CanX-2 while also contributing to the thermal control subsystem. Prior to coming to the U of T, Cordell received a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia and a B.Sc. (Conc. Mathematics) from Cape Breton University.

Alexander
Beattie - Communications Engineer |

Alex
Beattie is the SFL communications engineer and is a
member of the MOST mission operations team. With a background
in Aerospace Engineering, he joined the SFL team in 2001 at
a crucial time in the MOST development cycle. He designed major
portions of the MOST spacecraft and ground station communication
systems. He was also a core member of the assembly, test, and
launch operations team. |

Stuart
Eagleson - Attitude Control Systems Engineer |

Mr. Eagleson oversees SFL's attitude dynamics and control group, and
is also involved in conceptual missions for business development. Having
joined the staff at the beginning of 2007, he was first educated at the
undergraduate level in lightweight structures and design (B.Eng., Carleton University), and then at the graduate level in attitude dynamics and control (M.A.Sc., University of Toronto), where he was responsible for the design, test, and implementation
of CanX-2's attitude subsystem. |

Stephen
Mauthe - Propulsion Systems Engineer |

|
Stephen Mauthe is primarily involved with the development of the NANOPS and CNAPS propulsion systems for the CanX series of satellites, as well as taking part in conceptual mission designs for business development. He first started working at SFL in 2004 as a student, and after completing his graduate degree (M.A.Sc.) at the University of Toronto, Stephen became a staff member in early 2007. His undergraduate education is in Aerospace Engineering (B.Eng.) from Ryerson University.

Tarun is responsible for the design of the onboard computers and associated flight software for our satellite missions as SFL's computer engineer. After obtaining a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary, he began his M.A.Sc. with UTIAS/SFL in 2005 where he developed key portions of the flight software and ground station infrastructure for several CanX nanosatellite missions. |
